YOUR PHOTOS

High quality photos are perfect for creating detailed, accurate artwork of your fluffy friend. Please try to send the best images you have. If you wish to take some especially for the painting, here are some top tips!

Over the years I have worked from just about every kind of photo. Don’t worry if your pet is no longer with us and you only have some low resolution photos. I will do my absolute best with what I am given.

DO'S:

  • High resolution with as much detail as possible.

  • Good lighting and exposure that enables me to see all the details

  • Try and capture your pet in a nice position.

  • Take the photo from their level so your camera points straight on and is not angled downwards.

  • Ensure all their paws, tail, head and body is in the picture.

DONT'S:

  • Bright sunlight can blow out sections of an image.

  • Low lighting can cause a grainy low quality image and reduce detail.

  • Awkward angles or poses don't often look as striking.

  • Taking a photo from above your pet with the camera angled downwards often looks disproportionate and makes their body appear smaller than their head.

  • Cut off feet or tails means that I may have to improvise and imagine what they would look like. This may not be accurate.
